Jung-fai is a treasured piece of ornament worn in the ears in times of Ahom rule. There are two varieties- both for male & female.
These variety (as seen above) used to be worn by Royal Ahom kings.
These variety (as seen above) used to be worn by females of the royal family in times of religious & cultural rituals.
Jung-fai is usually not found in this part of North-East. It was imported from Burma(Myanmar) in the times of Ahom kings. Jung-fai is basically made of a type of Resin and is semi-transparent.
